Sound Localization Based on Acoustic Source Using Multiple Microphone Array in an Indoor Environment

Sound signals have been widely applied in various fields. One of the popular applications is sound localization, where location and direction a source are determined by analyzing signal. In this study, two microphone linear arrays were used to locate an indoor environment. The TDOA also designed deal with problem delay reception from using generalized cross-correlation algorithm calculate TDOA. proposed array system can successfully estimate source’s location. test was performed standardized chamber. This experiment arrays, each microphones. experimental results prove that method detect obtain good performance position error about 2.0~2.3 cm angle 0.74 degrees. Therefore, demonstrate feasibility system.
